Basic Education Deputy Minister Dr Reginah Mhaule and Eastern Cape Education MEC Fundile Gade to Address Eastern Cape G20 Provincial Education Indaba

Basic Education Minister Dr Reginah Mhauel and Eastern Cape Education MEC, Mr Fundile Gade will tomorrow, Wednesday 20 August host the Eastern Cape G20 Provincial Education Indaba held under the theme ‘Building Future Leaders,’

The Eastern Cape Education Indaba will the ninth held across the country, bringing to a culmination the series of G20 Provincial Education Indabas. In addition the Indaba serves as a response to President Cyril Ramaphosa’s recent call for public involvement in the G20 discussions, focusing on the education agenda for the 2025 summit which will focus on two critical priorities, namely:

  1. Early Childhood Development and
  2. Educational Professional Development

Delegates from across the province including academics, senior government officials, SGBs, teachers’ unions, and private sector partners as well as captains of industry are expected to attend.

Members of the Media are invited to attend the Eastern Cape Indaba and will be afforded interviews with the Deputy Minister and MEC as follows:
